SOUTH LAMPUNG, Warganet – South Lampung Regent Radityo Egi Pratama took an unconventional approach to inaugurating 12 high-ranking officials, choosing the area beneath the Natar Underpass Flyover instead of a government hall. The ceremony, held on Wednesday (August 5, 2026), took place amid the daily bustle of Pasar Natar, surrounded by traders and local residents.
The unusual venue was more than a symbolic gesture. Regent Egi said he wanted the newly appointed officials to begin their new responsibilities by witnessing, experiencing, and understanding the realities of people’s lives firsthand so that every policy they make truly reflects the needs of the community.
According to a report published on the official website of the South Lampung Regency Government on Wednesday (August 5, 2026), Egi stressed that the inauguration was not a reward or ceremonial event, but the beginning of a greater responsibility to address the challenges faced by the public. He urged every official to lead with empathy and remain closely connected to the people they serve.
